On Wednesday, 10 July 2013, the Chief Apostle Schneider landed on the soil of Uganda (also famously known as the pearl of Africa). The Chief Apostle accompanied by District Apostles Patrick Mkhwanazi (South East Africa), Mark Woll (Canada), Bernd Koberstein (Germany) as well as their host District Apostle Shadreck Lubasi commenced his programme on Thursday, 11 July 2013 with a visit to Kampala Central church and the Administration office. Here they were welcomed by the children and then afterwards in the church, the choir rendered some hymns.
On Friday morning, the Chief Apostle and his entourage left Kampala city to Tororo, some 200 km away for the first divine service.
The Chief Apostle Helper made his way to the coastal city of Dar es Salaam on 8th February 2013 and was received by his
Host: District Apostle Lubasi.
On Saturday morning, accompanied by District Apostle Helper’s Robert Nsamba (Zambia) and Arnold Mhango (Malawi), conducted a meeting for apostles and bishops of Tanzania at the church office. He based the meeting on Luke 12: 49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!”
The Chief Apostle Helper encouraged the apostles and bishops to ensure that this fire (the gospel of Jesus Christ) continues to burn in the congregations until the Lord comes to take us home.
The Saturday evening was reserved for a delightful music hour. Several items were presented which included local compositions from DR Congo as well as a French hymn. These were familiar to the Chief Apostle helper because prior to his appointment he had worked there for several years.
The highlight of the visit was the festive divine service on Sunday, 10th February 2013 held at the Landmark Hotel. Already on Saturday, the Chief Apostle Helper informed the apostles and bishops that, this would be his first service to contact in English language.
On arrival at the hotel hall, joyful Sunday school children welcomed the chief apostle helper and his entourage. Filled with joy he gave the little joyful children a word of advice and wished them a blessed future!
The divine service was based on 1 Corinthians 1: 9 “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord”.
