Sunday 26 October 2014 was special day in more ways than one when District Apostle Shadreck Lubasi conducted a divine service in the congregation of South “C”. The two Nairobi Apostle areas under Apostle David Mwaniki and James Mutinda gathered together for this service.
The preparation for this special occasion was thus passionate and resulted in joyous moments from the welcoming children choir and happy members from all over Nairobi areas. In his opening address to the congregation, District Apostle Shadreck Lubasi captured the hearts of many in the congregation by highlighting some points from the opening hymn “Trust and Obey” that no other way, in any time! In life! But to trust in God. The District Apostle referred to the Job who had gone through trials and temptations, lost everything he hard. Many people including his wife challenged him to disregard God but despite all those he remained faithful to God.
The sermon for the divine service was based on James 5:15… “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up” A lesson on faith was elaborated on with the elements of faithfulness being pointed out. It was the service for preparing for the departed and therefore District Apostle besought the congregation that their prayer of faith to the souls in realms of the departed shall go a long away for them to find grace in acquiring the sacraments for their redemption and joy.
A total of 1,713 members participated in this festive divine service.
