Divine Service by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider in Kampala, Uganda

On Friday 31st January 2025, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducted a divine service in Kampala, Uganda. The Chief Apostle was accompanied by District Apostle Stephan Poschel (West Germany), host District Apostle Joseph Opemba Ekhuya (East Africa) and District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba (Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi). A total of 1,254 attended the divine service which was held in Imperial Royal Hotel. Apostle James Kimera was retired after 39 years in ministry with almost 32 years as an Apostle. Apostle Yohonan Byoona will take over the Apostle working area of Uganda Central that was previously served by Apostle Kimera.  District Evangelist Johnson Turyahabwe was ordained to fill the vacancy that was created by the retirement of Apostle Richard Kavuma in Uganda West Apostle area. The Chief apostle use a Bible word Luke 8:18

“Therefore, take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”

The Chief Apostle in his elaborations on the message explained that God speaks mainly to man and not any other creature. This has been the case since creation from Adam and Eve, then to Abraham, then to Moses and the prophets. Later on, Jesus Christ who is the real Word came and spoke to mankind. When He went back to His Father, He sent the Holy Spirit. Finally sent His Apostles to speak to mankind. But He cautions man that we need to be careful how we hear. Chief Apostle explained further that God wants to do good to man through his word but we need to hear the right way. Hearing the right way involves:

  • Having faith In Jesus Christ: That He is God and He is sent to announce the will of God. The will of God is to deliver man from the dominion of sin and allow man to enter into eternal fellowship with Him. It is not solving earthly matters.
  • Listening to the messengers He sends to us-the Apostles: God speaks through the Apostolate when they preach the Gospel.
  • Accepting the whole message and doing it: Not shifting the message to another person or accepting only the pleasant part of the message.

If we listen well and hear correctly, we get more in our lives of faith which includes:

  • Strengthening our faith.
  • Having experiences of faith.
  • Having heart full of peace and joy even in difficult moments.
  • Finding God’s grace and getting eternal life which is the maximum a man can get.
If we don’t listen well, we are likely to lose the little we have for example:
  • Faith in Jesus Christ: When we don’t get worldly pleasure, we backslide and go back to sorcery and witchcraft.
  • Grace of being reborn of water and Spirit: This happens when we go to another denomination to seek for miracles.
  • The chance of getting into the Kingdom of God as firstlings.
  • Not getting what Jesus purposed for us:  That is everlasting life in the Kingdom of God.

The Choir ended the serving of the Chief Apostle with a powerful rendition of Loboko nayo ekamba ngai (A local composition from DRC in Lingala) that resonated well with the audience.
