Nairobi North Sub-District Youth Gathering on Christmas 2014

The Nairobi North district youth had a Christmas 2014 gathering of one week camp from Monday 14/12/2014 – Sunday 21/12/2014 at Mt. Elgon, the working area of Apostle James Mutinda. There was immense training on music and Sunday school developments on the first four days.

It was amazing that the Motto of the youth day, “We will keep our faith alive” filled the hearts of the young people. Various topics under our New Apostolic way of life were highlighted. Such topics were; our Faith, Courtship and Marriage, Offerings, Youth Challenges in the modern society, and Ancestors and Witchcraft in the vantage view of our faith. It was a joyful moment on Saturday, when the young souls had a rare opportunity for interaction and interview with their dear Apostle James Mutinda. This prepared the way for a festive divine service for the youth the following day. The climax was the divine service on Sunday 21/12/2015 at 10.30 a.m. and an hour of Mega Christmas Choral Concert in the afternoon. Apostle James Mutinda conducted the divine service from a text word; John 12:35, “Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going”. Apostle advised the young people not to remain in sin. “Let us recognize sin in the light of God and let us not remain in sin,” said the Apostle. A total of 422 souls attended the divine service.

The young had lunch together, and headed for adventure as they climbed Mt. Elgon.
