Riabai congregation hosts District Apostle Lubasi

The Sunday, 12 October 2014 was overwhelmed with blessings for the congregations of Riabai, Marengeta, and Juakali when District Apostle Shadreck M. Lubasi paid them a special visit at Riabai congregation; Kasarani Sub district in the newly created Nairobi North district under Apostle James Mutinda’s working area.

He was greeted with a joyous reception by the Sunday school choir. The district apostle was accompanied by Bishop Eric Mbithi, DEL John Kyalo and DEV Samuel Kasina. The divine service began with an opening hymn “Nearer my God to Thee”. The District Apostle was moved by the congregational singing of the hymn and commented, “God is always near to us and always wants to be closer to us”

As a basis for the divine service the District Apostle used Psalms 37:4, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart,”            . The central theme of the divine service focused on heeding God’s commandments, observing the Sabbath and keeping it holy, and Loving God and the neighbor. 154 members participated in the divine service.
